Hey Jeff…I LOVE IT!!! I have been sticking with ChaLEAN Extreme and while I don’t notice a difference too much yet, others do. This was the best thing I have ever done for myself. I haven’t always had access to my computer at night when I am doing it, but I have been faithful every night for about 23 nights…going into the home stretch for the first 30 days and looking forward to the next 60!!!!
I’ll let ya know how it goes!!!
Denise
That’s great. Glad to hear you love it. You will notice some even bigger changes over the next 60 days.
hi can you please help me? I just got p90x and its a bit confusing… i no the nutrition plan provides simple recipes and assigns caloric values to the carbohydrates, proteins, and fats to make it easier to design meals within the suggested serving and portion sizes. But I cant figure out what and how to tailor individual meals within those serving and portion size suggestions in order to suit my individual calorie intake. I want to start this on right foot so i appreciate the help
-confused
Are you following the portion approach or the meal plan approach?
Hey guys
I just have a few questions to ask about this program. I’ve been reading a lot of reviews about this product, which have all been good, but most of them say this program is not good for bulking up. This is basically what I want to do.
I’m a skinny fat man. I have skinny arms and very skinny leg but have heaps of stomach fat that i can not get rid of. I want to loose that stomach and put on arm and leg muscles, will this program help with that??
Also I was reading the nutrition side and the first month is the Fat Shredding Phase and then the next two months are carb phases to put on muscles. Can you modify the nutrition side because i don’t want to loose too much weight otherwise i would become too skinny as i read this program is more for becoming lean. I have protein shakes and bars, but i’m going to be stopping them as i sometimes feel sick from them, will this program still be effective if i don’t have protein supplements??
Basically, all in all, will this program work for a skinny fat man, who wants to loose his gut yet put on arm and leg muscles without the need for proetin shakes.
sorry about all the question.
Cheers
Jay
Hi Jay, Yes P90X will work for you. P90X will turn your body into a fat burning machine all while build lean muscle. You can tweak the nutrition plan to meet your needs but you might not need too. You will be eating a lot.
As far as protein goes, you have to get it from somewhere. If you are eating a lot of fish and chicken you might not need to supplement but it helps to have it on hand when you need it.
Here is a custom schedule to gain mass with P90X https://www.decidetostayfit.com/gain-mass-with-tony-hortons-p90x
Hi Jeff, I had signed up for the beachbody coach a few months ago, and actually talked to you on the phone about it for a while. Subsequently, i didn’t have much time but am really looking to commit to this and get serious. When you get a few minutes, if you could email me back, that would be greatly appreciated. I know it’s the holiday season, so i understand. I hope to hear from you soon. Thanks so much. Ashley
Hi Ashley, Nice to hear from you. Feel free to give me a ring when you have some time.
I have bad knees, what can I do instead of the leg workout?
@Tridley Are you referring to the P90X Legs and Back workout?
I am in week 6 of P90x lean. I have not been 100% complete with going straight through with it, because one week I was sick, but started up with the week that I lost.
For the past month I have not been eating super healthy, so I understand why I have not lost much weight. But my question is this:
1. My thighs and rear have seemed to gain a lot of weight in them. I understand it may be from eating unhealthy, but could it possibly be that the Legs and Back video from P90x is trying to turn that area into muscle instead? And making that area bigger while doing the process?
2. I’ve tried many workout videos, but switch them up, so I’m not sure which one works, but it seems that if I do more cardio based videos, I do not thicken up in my thighs and rear. Should I change that day and do cardio instead of legs and back?
I want to continue doing exactly what P90x has for each week, but if that’s the case, I would rather have skinner thighs with no definition than my thighs thickening while trying to get definition.
Thank you!
Just stick with the plan Liz. You do not have to worry about bulking up. You would have to work out for probably 3 hours a day to start bulking up. Take your measurements and then you will know for sure and try and stick with the nutrition plan.
I’ve been looking into p90x for a few weeks I did the old school version a few years ago and had great results I’m in the military and I’m trying to find the right version of p90x that’s going to take me to the next level I’m look for just insane endurance I work out religiously but I still feel like it’s not enough everyone says that p90x is insane, awesome, also a gut check so which one is right for me
Did you do Power 90 or P90X?? There is only 1 P90X but there are 3 plans to choose from. Classic, doubles or lean version. I always suggest the Classic. P90X is extreme and if you like extreme cardio there is always Insanity and Insanity: The Asylum. Just click on the shop tab above to check them out. Also, since you are in the military I can show you how you can save some money and even turn you work outs into making money. Feel free to contact me for more details.
It was power 90, which gave me that energy kind of feeling I’ll check out this shop tab and get back with you thanks for the advice. Good to see somebody give costumers feed back.
Do you still have to pay your monthly membership on top of coach fees?
I am not sure what you mean Ben but I would love to explain everything about being a coach to you if you want to give me a ring.
How long is the agility ladder? How many feet is the speed rope. Need to know if I have enough room to do this.
@LeJuan The agility ladder is about 5 ft long and the jump rope is standard size. If you are doing it in the basement you probably would hit the ceiling with the jump rope so you might not be able to use it. I don’t use it either since it hits my ceiling. That’s ok though, you just simulate jumping rope. Works just fine. Show T shows you how in the video’s. Don’t forget to order it here https://www.decidetostayfit.com/store-home/shaun-ts-insanity/insanity-the-asylum to get your free bonus work outs.
Make it a great day,
Jeff
So starting the program tomorrow, super freaked out and not clear on the pull up bars and weights I need but I will be damned if I don’t start tomorrow. Can anyone give me feedback as to what I need and how best to use it. Are the pull up bars you attach to a door frame hold well? I have an old house and I am concerned it wont hold. Please help!
Thanks, callie
@Callie The pull up bar is designed to go above your door frame and you can order it here https://www.teambeachbody.com/shop/d/chin-up-bar-ChinUpBar?referringRepID=135296 and you will also need some resistance bands or dumbbells. Depending on how strong you are will determine what weight you will need. Most women are good with 5lbs to 20 lbs to get started. You can also use the bands to simulate pull ups with a door attachment. Also, flip open your P90X fitness guide and it will go over everything you need. Any other questions just let me know and be sure to let us know how it’s going.
I’m 47 and I have a bad back. I did X for 4 weeks and felt pretty good, except for some back stiffness. Modified things a bit but in week 5 I herniated a disk and needed surgery (my third diskectomy). Could this have been due to p90x? Can I ever try again someday? This is bumming me out big time.
@Pete Back pain is the worst. I had back surgery myself when a piece of my disk had broken off. I have to be honest with you, my back feels better the more I exercise. Check out https://www.decidetostayfit.com/p90x-and-back-pain-can-you-still-do-p90x I am still doing P90X but I have also done P90X2, Insanity, Asylum and I now do a hybrid adding in work outs from different programs. Definitely check with your doctor and see what he/she suggests but remember, you can always modify if you need to.
I have been contemplating buying p90x for a while now and have almost made up my mind to. But I am a college student and honestly have no way to stick to the nutrition plan. I can’t afford Shakeology, and if I could, I live on campus and blenders are not allowed. I was wondering what kind of results you think I would get from doing just the workouts and if you have any suggestions to help with my problem.
@Lauren Sticking to the nutrition plan doesn’t mean you “have ” to buy the supplements. If you eat the allotted amount of proteins, carbs, fruit, veggies etc then you will see great results too. Also, just so you know, Shakeology and be mixed in a shaker cup and doesn’t require a blender. If you are looking to mix up different recipes then you would need a bullet, blender etc. Be sure to order your P90X and https://www.decidetostayfit.com/p90x so you get 2 FREE P90X One on One work outs.
I would like to buy the supplements needed for the first four weeks.
Thank You

Will doing insanity help me to lose them or am I washing my time … Thank you for your advice
@Nick Yes Insanity will tone you up but if you are looking for over all muscle gain you might want to consider P90X. This will help tone every muscle in your body. Order at https://www.decidetostayfit.com/p90x so you get 2 FREE P90X One on One work outs.
Im on the 3rd day and i did cardio recovery today. I am sweating like crazy and feel sore all over but a good sore , some exercises are very hard but im doing what i can and going at my own pace. I would jist prefer to tone up and lose the man boos and gut . I dont want big mucles. @Nick Then stick with Insanity Nick… It will definitely kick your butt 🙂 And you will tone up those arms ad chest with all the push ups you will be doing. Keep “Diggin Deep” every day and your results will come.

Thank u
@Zuz If you are not in the US or Canada you will need to use this service to get your order https://bongous.com/ and then you can order your Insanity from here: https://www.decidetostayfit.com/shaun-t-insanity It will come with your nutrition guide and all of the work outs so you know what to eat and what work out to do on each day.
Hi , do you ship p90x to South Africa ? Where can i buy it in South Africa ?
@Hendrik You can use this service to ship outside the US and Canada https://bongous.com/.
I have been working out with insanity for two weeks now. I notice everyone says to stick with the nutrition plan if you want to lose weight. Will I still lose weight if I don’t follow the nutrition plan, but eat weight watchers smart ones? I’m 5’4 and weigh 120 pounds I have been maintaing my weight since I started insanity two weeks ago.
@Mary Jo The main thing is to get the suggested servings of fruits, veggies, protein, fat and carbs. If you get it from weight watchers you should be fine but try staying in the recommended amounts and recommended calories. You also might want to read this post… https://www.decidetostayfit.com/why-am-i-gaining-weight-while-doing-shaun-ts-insanity-work-out
Stick with and keep a food diary. May come in handy later.
Hey Jeff, I recently bought the Insanity Workout and will be starting it with a friend, it doesn’t say anything about smoking in the pack and I can’t find anything online. Obviously it will be harder for a smoker to do the workout but I’m just wondering if it’s completely necessary to stop?
Cheers, J-G
@John I don’t want to preach to you but if you are trying to get healthy and fit quitting smoking sounds like a pretty good idea. If you are doing Insanity (which is extreme cardio) and then smoking it seems to me that it would be counter productive. It will be tough but I am sure you can quit…… Pick a quit day and make it happen. Your body will thank you.
Hey Jeff!
I’m sure you’ve got this question hundreds of time so sorry in advance! Lol. I heave the deluxe edition of Insanity and I was looking to incorprate the Upper Body Weight Training with the DVD. I was wondering how I should do that? Do you have a schedule that uses both of them or any recommendations on what Insanity workouts I should take out for the Upper Body workout?
If not, do you have a schedule that uses Insanity and weightlifting?
Thanks in advance!
@ Tony On the Insanity Schedule it has this statement in small print *If you have the DELUXE package, you can replace CARDIO ABS with INSANE ABS, and CORE CARDIO AND BALANCE with MAX INTERVAL SPORTS TRAINING. You can view it here https://www.decidetostayfit.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/InsanityCalendar-FitTest.pdf
Beachbody has also said in reply to other messages that the Insanity Upper Body Weighted Workout DVD is not part of the official rotation, but something Sean did because he wanted to show how to do a weight exercise with insanity style. With that being said, you can sub it in where you see fit. If I was going to sub it in I would use it in place of Plyo Cardio Circuit.
Would the Upper Body dvd followed by Cardio Power and Resistance be too much for back to back days?
Hi I am 33 years old and I weigh 140 lbs at 5’2. I am on my fourth week of insanity and I normally eat extremely healthy, never any fast food or junk. I had only lost one pound, some days I look extremely slim and other days I look bloated. will I see better results by the end of the program?
@Jessica Yes, you I feel you will see good results by the end of the program. If you are feeling bloated then it is from something that you are eating. Could be dairy, whey, msg etc. You might have to try eliminating things to figure out what exactly it is.Since you are in your 4th week you are probably not experiencing doms but if you are starting and stopping you might be. This post will give you some insite in that area. https://www.decidetostayfit.com/why-am-i-gaining-weight-while-doing-shaun-ts-insanity-work-out
Be sure to let us know how it’s going!
@Tony Are you creating a hybrid?? You could probably do those back to back but be sure to listen to your body.
thank you for your response. I don’t eat dairy and I also haven’t ate carbs in months. my diet consists of meat, 100% wheat, grain and lots of fiber, including lots of vegetables and I drink a lot of water. I have so much energy and more so after doing my insanity. I have not stopped a day of the workout nor do I plan to until the end, so I really do hope I will see more results.
thank you again.
@Jessica If you are feeling bloated you might have an allergy. Wheat or gluten allergy maybe. Also some veggies could give you that bloated feeling.
I have lost another two pounds and I feel great. Thank you, I started with gluten free diet. I feel even more energized and now I am into my Recovery week and enjoying every minute of it. I know that I will notice major difference because so far I am toned. Thank you again!
@ Jessica That is awesome. Feeling great is what it is all about. Would love to add you to my accountability group. Just some daily posting on facebook to help keep us all accountable. Just great a free account here https://www.decidetostayfit.com/go/free/ if you don’t have one yet. If you were assigned to someone and would like to switch just let me know and I will tell you what to do. They just connect with me at http://www.facebook.com/jeffochoa1 and I can add you to the group. Would love to hear your progress there as well. maybe some pics, recipes etc.
I did P90x and couldn’t walk after so I bought Insanity. I did Insanity strong for a month and a few weeks with 100% whey protein as my recover drink. After going strong for this amount of time, there went my knees and lower back. I took two weeks off for this injury. I feel good now and I want to workout. I don’t want to injure myself again though. HELP ME………
Modify. Modify. Modify. Listen to your body and take breaks when needed. You will have to take it easy when jumping.
Hi Jeff,
Hi I am from South Africa. Am I allowed to ask you some questions or do I have to pay to become a member first?
Thanks and regards
Jo-Anne
Hey Jeff,
Im in my 2nd week of Insanity and its going great. Unfortunately with my work schedule as a nurse I can only do a 5 day Insanity schedule. Would it be beneficial to skip cardio recovery? At this point im following the schedule exact with 2 off days and picking up where I left off. Thanks!!
@Gina I always suggest to follow the plan the way it is laid out but stuff happens. If you have to do a 5 day workout instead of 6 then go for it. That is much better than most people are doing. Great job! You might want to mix up which workout you skip for the week.
What is cobra to airplane?
Is all the workouts used for dumbbells or can you use the bar for any of the workouts on body beast?
What is beast abs and beast cardio?
Is the cardio days only one day a week or can you do more cardio?
@Nadia Cobra and Airplane are just the name of individual moves.
You can use dumbbells for all of the workouts but you can use the bar for a lot of the moves as well.
Beast Abs and Beast Cardio are 2 workouts in the Body Beast program.
If you follow the schedule you do different workouts in different phases. So the 1st phase of Body Beast I believe only has 1 day of cardio per week. 2nd phase doesn’t incorporate Beast Cardio and then phase 3 has some cardio.
Depending on your goals you could add more cardio if you wanted too. I always recommend going through the program the way is is laid out the first time and then modify from there based on your goals.
I am 5’10” and am over 300. I have started with your pay it forward video on YouTube. I am dieting and so far doing well with both. My question is how many times a day should i do this to get maximum benefit for my body.
@Brian Happy to hear you are doing well with your nutrition and the work out. I would stick to once a day for awhile so you body can adjust to your new regiment. Once you feel like you can go harder I can recommend another workout for you from our streaming service or you can try our Clean Week workouts and nutrition for free. Just let me know when you’re ready for something new.
Jeff,
Thanks in advance for input.
I use to box and plan to keep up my twice weekly 10-3 minute rounds of heavy bag as I follow the P90x classic, do you think it will hinder results?
Also, I plan on cutting workout time by fast forwarding as TH talks.
If I can keep the P90X workouts down to 45 minutes I can stick with it indefinitely.
@Josh… Sounds like a good plan Josh. Might have to eat a little more since you will be burning some extra calories. Be sure to listen to your body. Also, have you ever checked out P90X3? Great workouts and they are all only 30 minutes long. P90X3 is included with your BOD subscription. https://www.decidetostayfit.com/beachbody-on-demand

Hello,
My name is Scott Harper, and I am starting p90x insanity. I did the calculation and i need about 2500 calories a day since I want to lose weight. I am eating 5 meals of 500 calories, with my last meal being at 5pm which is super. If I get hungry a couple hours after super should I have a snack, or just stick to the 5 meals a day?
Could you please reach out to me for the guest post collaboration?
