How Hard is Shaun T’s Insanity?
How hard is Shaun T’s Insanity? So you are thinking about doing Insanity and you are wondering how hard it really is? Well let me tell you this, it is hard and once you get into the 5th week it gets even harder. When I said hard, think about the suicide sprints you used to do in the gym during practice or gym class. Remember how hard you heart was pumping? Now imagine adding some push ups at the end of that run while your heart is pumping a million beats a minute. Or having to do some squat jumps right after those sprints? This is the best way I can describe Insanity. Well at least the intensity anyways. There are a lot more movements and exercises you will do and they all will leave hovering over a pool of you own sweat.
If you are new to exercise or you haven’t been active in quite some time I would not suggest this work out. You have to work your way up to Insanity because it is pretty hard. Don’t get me wrong here, I loved it and if you like to push yourself to the limit you will like it too. If you love cardio then Insanity is the way to go.
I have been doing a lot of research with Insanity. I really wish to take the challenge. Over the past year, I’ve had some really stressful experiences that disrupted my food intake and when I began eating regular again, I gained the weight twice as fast. I want to get back to 135lbs once again but with the weight I’m at right now, I feel really discouraged. I’m a 20 year old female, 5’6 at 250lbs. I do a lot of walking but I’ve been noticing my health is starting to get bad, and with the occasional chest pains, it’s starting to scare me. Anyways, I just wanted to give some background information to my question. My question is: will it be a realistic attempt for me to take the Insanity challenge at my size? I’ve never been this size before and I’m just worried that Insanity will be too hard for me to manage and I’ll end up having even worse health problems. Thank you in advance for your advice and reading this!
@Sadia You might want to start with something like https://www.decidetostayfit.com/slimin6 to get started and work your way up to Insanity. There are many people who start Insanity and just take breaks when needed but the main thing I do not want to see people do is get frustrated and quit because it is too hard. Also remember, if you try Insanity and it is too hard you can send it back for a refund within the first 30 days. Or keep it and put it on your kitchen counter as a goal you are shooting for. The key is to get started with something, make it a habit and follow the nutrition guide.
