Insanity: The Asylum Day 1 Speed and Agility

So today was day 1 of Insanity: The Asylum and I was definitely excited to get started.  After taking the Asylum fit test yesterday I knew I would be in for a challenge and I like the fact that I would be doing something new by incorporating an agility ladder into my work outs. I have never used a ladder before so I was curious to check out the moves. Let me just say this, I kicked that darn ladder all over the place.  The moves are tough enough but with a ladder you have to be accurate as well.  It is real easy to miss when you are tired.

All in all I would have to say that Asylum: Speed and Agility was a great work out.  I have done several rounds of P90X and a round of Insanity with Shaun T so I was some what prepared for Asylum but it was still tough.  The one caution I would like to state is if this is your first work out, you need to already be in shape before you start Asylum. Asylum is not for beginners. If you try this as your first work out program you will most likely get frustrated and not complete it. Why? Because it is hard, real hard, and you need to have some sort of fitness base line before you try and tackle something this intense.

Tomorrow is Strength day with Asylum so I am looking forward to see what Shaun T has in store for me.  If it is anything like Asylum: Speed and Agility I am sure I will be in for some real work.
