Should I do My P90X Work Out When I’m Sick?
Should you do your P90X work out if you are sick? I get this question a lot and I first want to say that I am not a doctor so this is in no way medical advice. I can tell you what I do and what works for others. First off, as human beings we are all unique in are own special way so what one person can do while not feeling 100% someone else may be able to tackle just fine. If you are just feeling a little run down or unmotivated at the moment then you have to get that work out in. If you have a fever, well, that is a different story. You should not put any more stress on your body since you are already fighting an infection and are most likely dehydrated. Take a break. You will be doing your body more harm than good if you try and force your P90X work outs when you have a fever. Give yourself some time to get better and repeat that week if you have to. Life happens so do worry too much about it if you have to repeat a week of P90X. Remember being fit and healthy is a life long journey. I know P90X is a 90 day program but after doing it many people turn P90X into a life long commitment by mixing, matching and keeping P90X a regular part of their fitness lives. So if you are fighting an infection and have a fever do yourself a favor and drink plenty of fluids and get some rest. P90X will be here when you get back. I promise.
Another thing to consider is if you are sneezing, coughing or think you might be contagious in any way, stay out of the gym. You don’t want to sideline your work out buddies with you. So stay home, get some rest and watch a movie or two.
