What to do after my 90 days of P90X? So you have finished up your 90 days with P90X and you are wondering, “What now?”  First of all pat yourself on the back.  What you just accomplished is no easy task.  90 days of working out and eating right is definitely hard but if you are anything like me you found that as the days went by it became second nature to eat right and do your P90X workouts.  You should be in pretty great shape now and you need to decide on a new set of goals.  Now you know how P90X works with your body and you know how the P90X nutrition plan works with your body.  Hopefully you have also learned how carbs work with your body and how much sleep you need for optimum physical performance.

If you choose you can continue on with P90X just as you have been doing.  You can go for more weight or more reps.  That’s the great thing about P90X, you can incorporate it into any routine. You can push yourself harder and harder. You can add to it, pick and choose your routine, add a run, a swim, some bench pressing or any other activity that you want.

If you really want to challenge yourself even further then can go to the next level and order the P90X Plus workouts. With P90X Plus you will get some brand new moves and never seen before exercises all while rocking out with Jason Shcheff, the lead singer of Chicago.  Here is what you get with P90X plus:

If you are looking for something different that will challenge you in a whole different way then I suggest you check out Shaun T Insanity.  They say this is the hardest workout ever put on DVD.  You need no additional equipment, you just use your own body weight. There are a lot of people who had made a P90X/Insanity hybrid workout to fit their liking. We have both workouts and will do this in the future.

If you want to take a break and are just looking to maintain the gains that you have made then you can do that as well. Tony Horton recommends P90X Yoga X once a week and P90X Plyometrics, P90X Core Synergistics or P90X Kenpo X once or twice a week.  To maintain your muscle mass you can just do the first round of the resistance workouts.  You get 80% of the benefit in a resistance workout during the first set so doing this will make sure that you do not lose what you have gained.  Following this plan won’t give you huge gains but it is enough to maintain your muscle mass for quite some time.  This will cut your resistance workouts to under 30 minutes until you decide it is time for you to take another fitness leap.

Don’t forget, if you really want to know what to do after my 90 days of P90X then the answer is now simple.  Grab P90X2 and take you fitness to the next level.
